- 4 tbsp of quinoa
- 1 cup of oat flakes
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp of honey
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- ¼ tsp of salt
- ½ cup of raisins
- 1/3 cup of hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp of sesame
- 2 medium bananas
Protein Bars Preparation:
Cook the quinoa for about 15 minutes, drain and cool.
Meanwhile, cut banana into smaller pieces. Mash with fork and add egg. Mix well.
In a bowl, combine other ingredients, add mashed banana and quinoa. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pour the mixture into baking pan and bake for about 20 minutes, or until nice golden brown color.
Remove from the heat and allow it to cool for a while.
Cut into equal pieces. Enjoy your homemade protein bars!
The Hazelnut Cream vegan recipe is quite easy to prepare and will give you a good start for the day.
- 1 tbsp of flour
- 2 tbsp of brown sugar
- ¼ cup of grated hazelnuts
- 1 tbsp of cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp of cornstarch
- 1 cup of soy milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 5 tbsp of hot water
Combine the flour, brown sugar, hazelnuts, cocoa powder, cornstarch, vanilla extract and hot water in a bowl. Mix well using an electric mixer. Set aside. Boil the soy milk over a low – medium temperature.
Add cocoa mixture and reduce the heat. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. When the mixture thickens, remove from the heat. Allow it to cool for a while. Keep in the refrigerator.
Useful tip 1
You can prepare this cream with different kinds of nuts. Simply replace the hazelnuts with some other nuts of your choice.

Be sure to try some of the cream before it thickens. You may want to add some more sugar. This really depends on your taste.

Instead of vanilla extract, you can add some orange extract to the mixture.
