Homemade Protein Bars

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp of quinoa
  • 1 cup of oat flakes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • ½ cup of raisins
  • 1/3 cup of hazelnuts
  • 2 tbsp of sesame
  • 2 medium bananas

Protein Bars Preparation:

Cook the quinoa for about 15 minutes, drain and cool.

Meanwhile, cut banana into smaller pieces. Mash with fork and add egg. Mix well.

In a bowl, combine other ingredients, add mashed banana and quinoa. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pour the mixture into baking pan and bake for about 20 minutes, or until nice golden brown color.

Remove from the heat and allow it to cool for a while.

Cut into equal pieces. Enjoy your homemade protein bars!

Creamy Vanilla Strawberries Dessert Vegan Recipe

Another sweet, original addition to our dessert collection – try the Creamy Vanilla Strawberries Dessert recipe, vegan style.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large bananas
  • 2 cups of almond milk
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 tsp of sugar-free vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries
  • ¼ cup of fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup of coconut whipped dessert topping

Preparation:

First you have to prepare the basic pudding layer. In a medium sized saucepan bring 2 cups of almond milk to boil.

You can use some other milk if you like. The taste will be the same. I have tried this recipe with soy milk and it was perfect.

Meanwhile, peel and cut a banana into thin slices. Add banana slices, vanilla extract and cinnamon to a saucepan. You can add some water if necessary.

Cook for about 10 minutes over a medium heat, stirring constantly. Add cornstarch and cook for another  2 minutes. Remove from the heat and pour into pudding bowls.

Allow it to cool for a while. Top with fresh fruits and whipped dessert topping.
