*prep time: 7 mins *cook time: 25 mins
- 1 pound dry figs, cut into small pieces
- 6 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup soy milk
Tip: use cows’ milk for the vegetarian version
In a small saucepan, combine the figs, sugar, and fresh lemon juice. Add 1/2 cup of milk and bring it to boil. Reduce the heat to low and add the remaining milk.
Depending on your taste, you can add some more milk. Cook for about 20 minutes. When done, transfer to a food processor and blend until smooth mixture.
